Depech Mode on NPR - Fantastic!

I just got an update that a show about Depeche Mode was recently done on NPR and is now available online.

As usual - even though it's been a LONG time since I've heard from them - they do not disappoint.

Free Coldplay Album Download Friday, May 15

Coldplay is giving away a FREE download of their live album, "LeftRightLeftRightLeft", this Friday, May 15. It starts at 9:00 AM UK time, which is, unfortunately, 3:00 AM, CST in the US. It doesn't sound like they're limiting the number of downloads, though, so I think we can safely login at our convenience, as long as it's still Friday in the UK.

Cursive's "From the Hips" Video...

I don't know why I love these guys so much. Maybe because they're an Omaha band, or maybe because their lyrics are SO clever, or maybe because the band members look like typical midwestern guys (except for Tim Kasher who is so sexy) yet they ROCK.

Whatever it is, here's the new video for "From the Hips". I can't get enough of this song. The lyrics are brilliant.

I loooove Cursive. I've known of them for around five years, but didn't consider myself a big fan until I saw them live January 2009 at the Slowdown in Omaha, Nebraska. Incredible show.

They're offering a free download of "From the Hips" right now. It's my favorite song from the new CD. I'm a lyrics person, and Tim Kasher delivers.

Free Music Download - "Light Through the Veins" by Jon Hopkins

Here's a free download from a guy named Jon Hopkins. Coldplay sent this link out via Facebook. Apparently this instrumental bookends their "Viva La Vida" cd.

It has a "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" feel to it. I could also see it as background music in a 70's movie where someone is driving across the country - still shell-shocked from their last bad relationship.
